Overcoming Anxiety

Overcoming Anxiety

Do your heart and mind often race? Is your stomach in knots? Are you unable to concentrate? You may have anxiety.

You are not alone - anxiety accounts for over half of all mental health concerns. We all experience some anxiety, but too much anxiety can take a toll on your wellbeing.

In this 2.5-hour class, you will learn about different types of anxiety disorders, causes, and common symptoms. You will also learn practical skills and healthy coping strategies to combat anxiety, so you can lead a more peaceful life.

Who can attend?

Anyone aged 18 or over who would like to learn more about anxiety

You will gain a better understanding of what affects anxiety and how to better cope with it by learning:

  • Causes of anxiety and the brain
  • This impact of trauma on anxiety
  • Types of anxiety disorders
  • Anxious behaviours, thoughts, and emotions
  • Skills to decrease levels of anxiety

When and where is it offered?
