Strive is a group for men to support building healthier relationships.
This program focuses on building more fulfilling relationships and balanced life with healthier approaches to conflict, including situations where there could be violence. It will help you enhance your well-being by showing you how to develop healthier relationship skills based on your own personal values and what you want your life to be.
The small group is facilitated by a mental health therapist.
You can join the group at the start of any of the modules.
The group meets at our office on Wednesdays, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
New participants can start after attending an information session and an interview with a facilitator to gather background information and set personalized goals.
Participating in a therapy group can feel like a big, scary step to take. We will be there to support you when you are ready to get started.
Subsidies are available based on our sliding scale. That means your fee depends on your income and how much you can afford to pay.
We will complete a fee assessment for you after you have attended an information session.

There will be many more hills and mountains to climb but the Strive program helped me stand and progress. Now when I get down or depressed, it’s half a day, not a week or months or years. I don’t look for a substance to help me escape. I am attacking life and taking mine back and am developing into the person I want to be.
The Family Centre acknowledges that we are on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting ground, gathering place, and traveling route for the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
