Classes FAQs

What is the difference between a group class and a private class?

A group class is the course's regular length in duration. It has multiple participants. This learning environment is interactive and will provide opportunities to hear and share various experiences and perspectives.

A private class covers the same content as a group session, but it is 3 hours one-on-one with a facilitator. These 3 hours can be scheduled in one appointment or split into two 90-minute appointments. This learning environment will focus more on how the information is relevant to your personal experiences. Please note that subsidies are not available for private classes.

Private classes are ideal if you want to get started sooner than the next workshop, can’t attend the workshops due to work schedules or other personal commitments, or simply prefer a more private setting.

For full-day courses, you can bring lunch with you or go to a nearby shop or restaurant during the lunch break.

For Online Classes:

The day of or the day before your workshop you will receive your participant booklet in an email. If possible please have this accessible during the presentation.

Do I get a certificate when I complete the class?

Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion after you have completed the entire course.

Certificates are emailed to participants 1-2 business days after the workshop is complete.

Can I bring my child with me?

For In-Person Classes:

You cannot bring your child as we do not offer childcare, and our classes are intended for adults. However, you can attend the Nurturing Newborn Attachment class with your baby.

For Online Classes:

You are likely attending this workshop from the comfort of your own home, this may mean your children could be present. We ask you to try to attend from a private, non-distracting location, but understand that may not be possible.

Are classes the same thing as group therapy?

No. Our classes and workshops are psycho-educational, meaning we focus on providing you with information and helpful tools. Group therapy is focused more on thoughts, feelings, and the healing process.

Can I claim the class with my benefits or insurance plan?

No, because our workshops are educational and not equivalent to psychological therapy or counselling.
