The Family Centre offers therapist lead support therapy groups for those wanting to cope with depression, anxiety and those who want to learn how to build stronger and safer relationships with partners, family, and friends.

A weekly therapeutic support group gives you an opportunity to talk about your feelings and experiences in a healing and supportive group setting. These therapy groups options are facilitated by mental health therapists. 

Depression Therapy Group

You are not alone. In this therapy group, you will gain an understanding of how to break the cycle of depression. You will also develop an action plan to begin moving out of depression.

This therapy group equips you with knowledge on how anxiety works. It brings awareness of how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours relate to anxiety. The intimate group allows you to be with others who are going through similar experiences. You will leave with an action plan to begin moving out of anxiety.

Grieving Through Art Therapy Group

Grieving a loss can be painful, but you don’t have to go through it on your own. In this therapeutic support group, you can talk about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours associated with the loss of a loved one by death, separation, and even pet loss. You will engage in creative and mindfulness activities, conversation, and monitor therapeutic change as you companion with others throughout the group.
