Grieving a loss can be painful, but you don’t have to go through it on your own. We’re here to support your process and provide you with a transitional space to figure out the next steps of your healing journey.
In this therapeutic support group, you can talk about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours associated with the loss of a loved one by death, separation, and even pet loss. You will engage in art therapy and mindfulness experientials, conversations, and monitor therapeutic change as you companion with others throughout the group.
Art experience is not required but a willingness to show up and be present with the group is necessary. The group will have a maximum of 6 participants.
The group is facilitated by two mental health therapists. One is an Art Therapist registered with the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) and the other is a Social Worker and Expressive Arts Therapist registered with the Alberta Association of Social Workers (ASCW) and the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT).
