Group Support

The Family Centre offers therapist lead support groups for those wanting to cope with depression, anxiety and those who want to learn how to build stronger and safer relationships with partners, family, and friends.

A weekly therapeutic support group gives you an opportunity to talk about your feelings and experiences in a healing and supportive group setting. These group therapy options are facilitated by mental health therapists. 

Depression Support Group

You are not alone. In this support group, you will gain an understanding of how to break the cycle of depression. You will also develop an action plan to begin moving out of depression.

Anxiety Support Group

This therapy support group equips you with knowledge on how anxiety works. It brings awareness of how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours relate to anxiety. The intimate group allows you to be with others who are going through similar experiences. You will leave with an action plan to begin moving out of anxiety.

Healthy Relationship Support Group

Relationships, whether they be with romantic partners, friends, family members, or co-workers, are an important part of leading a healthy and fulfilling life. This program focuses on eliminating violence and abuse and attaining more fulfilling relationships and a balanced life with less conflict. Women and men meet in separate groups.
