Counselling in Edmonton

No matter what you’re going through, the Family Centre is here for you. Our mental health therapists are experienced in a broad range of issues and can help you understand your situation better and figure out ways to move successfully through it. A single session with one of our mental health therapists may be enough to help you think more clearly and work through your own solution when you feel stuck.

Your First Session is:

  • Free
  • Available virtually, over the phone, or in-person
  • 50-Minutes long

We are here to support you as you navigate:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Relationship challenges, including separation and divorce
  • Addictions
  • Grief and loss
  • Parenting challenges and conflict
  • Child and adolescent development and behaviour
  • Domestic abuse prevention
  • Trauma and change 

Counselling is provided:

10 AM - 7 PM Monday to Thursday

10 AM - 3 PM Friday and Saturday

Who can access counselling?

Anyone aged 16 or over can access counselling. Children under 16 can talk to a therapist with their parents’ consent. Parents must talk with the therapist first.

Prefer to meet in-person?

No appointment or referrals are required, you can simply visit our office to connect with a therapist on a first-come-first-served basis.

Health and safety for in-person sessions:

  • we pre-screen each client before their session
  • Everyone will be provided with a mask and hand sanitizer
  • Counselling offices are sanitized between each session

After Your First Session:

We will determine if a follow-up appointment is required, will discuss options, fees, and schedule in your next Goal-Oriented Counselling session
